Summary of position

The role will suit a talented individual, in our development team, based in the UK. The team is part of a small but rapidly expanding, energetic and ambitious Technology company; working within the Collections & Recoveries sector of the Financial Services Industry. Our clients range from Utilities and Telecoms companies, Banks and Lending companies and our aim is to use our expertise to empower our clients with innovative technology thereby improving their recoveries.

The Test/Development Manager will be responsible for the changes, test and deployment of all applications and services.

In this role, you should be comfortable working with IT product teams of Software and Analysis & Design along with Client requirements. You will need to understand Client requests in the backdrop of ‘Change Board Requests’ to ensure that solutions and products are being developed. At the same time considering all functional and non-functional requirements including test, support, maintenance, capacity and security. You should be a good communicator with an ability to determine requirements and propose and deliver the best solutions.

This role requires the need to coordinate with business and clients to schedule and deliver development projects.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Development the candidate will be required to:

  • Manage the testing program of all development work
  • Schedule and control deployment
  • Oversee the Change Control Process
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to understand test requirements
  • Be responsible for Qualco DevOps
  • Champion Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

Required skills/experience

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in testing and deployment controls and skills.

In addition, the ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Build test plans and user stories
  • Produce application test processes and strategies
  • Prepare test platforms
  • Develop Unit Testing
  • Manage Change Control Process
  • Track failures and remediation
  • Excellent Jira Management
  • Programming skills: C#, HTML
  • Database skills: SQL
  • Cloud Architecture: Azure
  • Excellent knowledge of security best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of DevOps, GitHub, Visual Studio
  • Ability to produce documentation
  • Excellent knowledge of all MS Office Products
  • And be an excellent communicator in English (Written and Verbal)
