Qualco UK raises over £1,400 for local charities

For the second year running Qualco UK raised more than £1,400 for local charities at its annual golf tournament, which took place at St. George’s Hill Golf Club in Surrey. The money raised was split between Princess Alice Hospice and CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).

Fellow collections and recoveries professionals joined three Qualco teams on a foggy November morning to help raise money whilst enjoying time to catch up on the latest industry developments. Teams from Lowell Group and Sigma Finance also took part in the four ball contest at one of the best courses in the world, designed by Harry Colt, the most prolific golf architect of his generation.

Several prizes were given out at the end of a challenging day; best team went to Sigma Financial, whilst Andy Brooks of BNP Paribas claimed the crown for the top scoring individual player and took home the 2017 Qualco trophy. The award for ‘Longest Drive’ was claimed by former Director at Lowell, Dicky Davies.

Cheques for £717 were presented to Princess Alice Hospice and CALM. Mia Patterson, Community & Events Manager of Princess Alice Hospice said: “We are delighted that Qualco have supported Princess Alice Hospice for a second year by raising funds at their annual golf tournament held at St Georges Hill Golf Club. A huge thanks to all involved for raising £717, we are so grateful to Qualco for their  continued support.”

Christian Jacob, managing director of Qualco UK commented: “We were delighted to welcome back last year’s contenders and some new competitors to our annual charity golf tournament. It was an enjoyable day and we are pleased to have raised money for Princess Alice Hospice, who provide free, high-quality compassionate care and support for patients, their families and carers, and for CALM, who continue to do great work in the campaign to reduce male suicides here in the UK. We look forward to 2018!”
