Qualco UK to take part in #TeamCALM London 10k

Staff from Qualco UK will pull on their running shoes in aid of the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) to take part in the ASICS London 10k on Sunday 21st July.

Team members taking part include Christian Jacob, Richard Nash, Shihab Borumand, Helen Mortimer and Adam Cox. Some of them are keen runners, some have never so much run to catch a bus!

The charity has been supported by Qualco since a contact in the industry tragically took their own life. CALMis an organisation that aims to bring the suicide rate down among young men, via frontline services, community activities and national media campaigns.

If you would like to support the team; donations can be made here. They are aiming to raise £600 or more.

CALM uses donations in many ways:

  • £8 can answer one potentially life-saving call
  • £20 can put CALM materials in the hands of campaigners
  • £80 can run our website for a day
  • £170 keeps one phone line open from 5pm to midnight for an evening

Qualco UK’s managing director, Christian Jacob commented, “Qualco advocates the benefits of running to reduce stress and enhance mental wellbeing, so we thought we’d get a team together to support a charity close to our hearts. It will be interesting to see how well we each fair given the training we have been putting in! In all seriousness, we are looking forward to taking part in the race for such a worthwhile cause. Any donations made are gratefully received.”
