Qualco is 10 news story

The team at Qualco UK is today celebrating 10 years in business. The panel and asset management software and analytics specialist was founded in 2012 by managing director Christian Jacob, who continues to lead the company today.

In its first year of operation Qualco was appointed by four debt purchasers and Tesco Mobile to optimse collections across a mixed bag of debt portfolios. By 2016 it had won a Big Six energy client and achieved its first of many ISO accreditations.

The firm has grown exponentially in recent years, expanding to 36 colleagues servicing 18 clients across the financial services, utilities, telcoms, retail, debt purchase and government sectors, with circa 9m customer accounts under management.

More recently Qualco UK was appointed by Crown Commercial Service to deliver the Debt Management Services Framework, gained Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) authorisation and launched an industry-first Open Banking solution for customer collections.

Commenting on the 10 year milestone, managing director Christian Jacob said: ‘It is a proud moment to reach our 10 year anniversary. From small beginnings to the large team we have grown to today; it has been a rewarding experience throughout the decade!

“Retaining and performing for clients has been our motivation from Day One and it is testament to the team that we continue to deliver and grow the company.”

Since its inception Qualco UK has adopted an industry-first mentality, whether in a professional capacity – such as making its file transfer process freely available to the industry in its charge to ensure data is shared and transferred safely – or an entertaining one – partnerships with Harlequins FC, Fulham FC or the launch of its conference series Qualco Live to name but a few.

Jacob continues: “Corporate social responsilibity and a thirst for making things better for customers has been at the backbone of Qualco UK’s strategy since 2012.

From creating the financial hardship framework for the recent work with the UK’s Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), the launch of an industry mental health awareness day and the recent deployment of Open Banking solutionsthere are too many highlights to mention. Thank you to our Clients, Partners and the team for being part of the journey so far and I look forward to the future.”

Qualco will celebrate each year of its 10 years on social media during the coming week. Look out for the posts on Linkedin and Twitter.
